Having the correct gambling pro mind-set.
The mind-set or attitude of the horse betting gambling professional is one of the most difficult things to achieve, but it is crucial if you are to accomplish regular earnings from your wagers on the horses.
I believe that this is the one factor that places the top 1% of top betting professionals apart from the average high street punter who tries to earn cash from their gambling.
What is the right gamblers mind-set?
You can educate individuals in how to get a betting bank together, how to set their correct staking levels, how to study the race cards and select the correct bets.
However most people have different ideas about the level of risks they will take in life. We are all different in our personality and this makes up what I call our individual mind-set.
I can teach everyone the same skills but each individual will implement them a little bit in a different way. I know this from individual experience with my subscribers and clients. I can educate 30 novice punters with the same essential skills and even provide them all with the same tips and yet each one will return with different results and outcomes.
So how can we change the mind-set of the average punter into a winning professional?
Above all else you must learn the habit of patience and self-discipline. You must stick with your gambling strategies and systems. This is so simple when you are on a successful run of winners and the earnings are piling up into your betting pot but what do you do when you are going through a lean period of winners?
What do you do when you have a losing run that continues for a few weeks without any successful tips? When you know that you have studied the race cards correctly, selected the best horse in the race and it still does not win. This is when the real professional sticks to his guns and has trust in his own capabilities.
The more time you are engaged in horse racing betting the easier it gets. This is because you have gone through the highs and lows ant times before. You now know that you have weathered the storms and will not panic and give up in the lean periods.
I know myself I will spend many days making a loss before my profits come in on the big days. Sometimes you may only have 5 or 6 of these big pay days all month that bring in most of your profits and winners. It is how you approach the remaining days when you may break even or lose money that will set you apart as a professional or make you quit as just another frustrated punter. This is what will set you apart from the average gamblers mind set.
